The Steelers are struggling a bit so far this season. 2 wins 2 losses, and their offensive line has not been able to protect Big Ben very well. I hope it all is resolved soon.

We have a soccer/football team in Scotland called Motherwell FC and their nickname is 'The Steelmen' because Motherwell used to be famous for its Ravenscraig Steelworks factory.

Thats awesome, Yes the Steelers were also named because of the once heavy steel industry here in Pittsburgh. And their home field, Heinz Field because of Pittsburgh being Heinz's global headquarters and company birthplace. And of course they purchased the naming rights.

Sheffield in England also have a Hockey team called the Steelers. Sheffield is famous for producing fine steel cutlery.

When the Steelers were going to one of the Super Bowls, The Inmates at a local prison hung banners inside the prison walls stating..........."Lets Go Stealers!" I think they mispelled steelers? Maybe not? lol!

Thanks Annabelle, It is a huge game for the Steelers, And all the terrible towels need waving! ;) But it is a late game, Sunday at 8:30 Pittsburgh time as it is on prime time TV. So it will be late at your home. But regardless, I love the enthusiasm. Maybe just watch a little bit if you can. :)

Unfortunately, The Steelers lost a heartbreaker in the final seconds. But they are still in a good position. They need to tighten up their defense on the field.

Big win today over their division rival Bengals. 24-17 :)

I attended a college basketball game Sunday evening. Our University of Pittsburgh Panthers won a close one! :)

Yes John you are correct. At times it looked like the Bengals would make a game of it, but the Steelers came thru when needed. They now stand at 7-3 in the AFC North. :) The terrible towels came thru again! There were many Steeler fans that traveled to watch the game at Cincinnati.

The 2nd. game of two between division rivals, This time at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Steelers-35 Cincinatti-7 A big wil for the Steelers in the playoff run! :)

Loss to the 49'ers last night. Big Ben has an upper ankle sprain. Oh well, It's just one game, and they are still in a good playoff position. Tied for the division lead. :)

On Christmas eve, The Steelers won 27-0 over St. Louis at Heinz Field. Tied for 1st. in their division, and the final week will have a big impact on what seed the Steelers get for the playoffs! :)

Brilliant! when is the last game of the season larry?

The final game of the regular season is on New Years Day. At Cleveland. 4:15 Pm. Eastern US time. If the Steelers win. And Cincinatti defeats Baltimore in Cincinatti, The Steelers will win their division outright, And be a #1 seed and have a first round bye in the playoffs. Fingers are crossed! :)

Steelers 13 Cleveland 9 The Steelers end the season at 12 wins 4 losses. Cincinatti had to win vs Baltimore and could not get it done for the Steelers to win the division. But the Steelers are in the playoffs. Lets go Steelers The playoffs begin next weekend. :)

Ok John, The terrible towel is needed, And the tee shirt, I will make it known this week here who we play, But I know it is at Heinz field. :)
