Christiano Ronaldo's return to MUFC.
⚽️
No matter what your opinion of Ronaldo might be, ( and like many, I think there are times when he behaves like an arrogant sod ). I still haven't completely forgiven him for his reaction when a Portuguese teammate got Wayne Rooney sent off for retaliation in the World Cup quarterfinal of 2006. He got a lot of hate mail from M.U. supporters with the result that he told Alex Ferguson that he wanted to leave the club. It took all of Alex's managerial skills to persuade him to stay. He went on to become an icon of the club. Whatever you think of him, like him or loath him, he is a great addition to the premiership and we will all watch their results with renewed interest each week to see how the story unfolds. It will be fascinating to see the effect he has on the present-day heroes, (Pogba, Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and the upcoming Mason Greenwood ]. Exciting times for football fans of all persuasions and a major coup for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Presumably, this also means that Harry Kane stays at Spurs for at least another season. It's all going horribly wrong for M.U. after getting thrashed by Liverpool 0-5 at Old Trafford yesterday. Unless a bunch of Prima-Donna strikers can learn to play as a team and support one another, Ole's future at the club is looking short-lived. With Pogba getting sent off for a dangerous tackle and Ronaldo lucky not to receive the same fate, their frustration at being so comprehensively outplayed was clear for all to see. |
