Arsenal fan from Greece.
I am a fan of Arsenal since i was a child. And the reason for this is really sth nobody can belive: because of a sampoo! Yes that' s right. A sampoo that was called "Mac Donald" and with which i used to wash my hair, same name as one of the players of the team at that period. Childish favourites that accompany me till now...

That was a very good decision you made! It's much more interesting than the reason I support Arsenal anyway!

Thank you guys! But as a foreigner i do not quite understand the term 'Gooner'. Any help? Also in my country the players of the team are called "kanonierides", greek word that means the ones that fire with, what else, an arsenal!!!

lol, Gooners are the term here in the UK for Arsenal Supporters, its a derivative of "The Gunners"
Quote from Wikipedia "London based Arsenal Football Club has developed a strong following since its founding in 1886. Arsenal's fans are often referred to as Gooners, the name derived from the team's nickname, the "Gunners."" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arsenal_F.C._supporters |
