Southampton 2 Arsenal 0
Whatever Wenger may see, Southampton looked like they deserved to win. Without defensive and midfield reinforcements in January (again!), Arsenal may struggle to finish in the top four. It makes a nice change, though, that it may be Southampton that we lose out to. Szczęsny had an absolute shocker for some reason. With the defence as poor as it currently is, the last thing we need is for Szczęsny'a goalkeeping to go to pot as well. Rather worryingly, the player Arsenal have been linked with the most over the past few months is Edison Cavani. He is a striker...

I think Wenger is nearing the end. A great career at Arsenal and he has done amazing things for the club but he seems bereft of ideas and void of inspiration. He needs a top quality defender....will he buy one...probably not..

Arsene Wenger's solution is to buy Krystian Bielik, a 17 year old midfielder and enter negotiations for Gabriel Paulista, a Brazilian midfielder who he may not be able to get a work permit for. Bielik may be become a really good player in the future, but he is not going to make a difference now and Paulista he may not even be able to sign. There are numerous things that annoy me about Wenger. The thing that annoys me the most is that the decisions he makes never seem to make sense. If people understood his thinking, they would, imho, be more likely to give him the benefit of the doubt. But when he does things like this, it's pretty baffling.

Now Wenger has signed Gabriel Paulista. He won't play him though, because he doesn't speak English!!! What a bizarre, un-thought out transfer policy Wenger has! We could have done with him against Spurs, whether he speaks English or not!!!
