Phillip Hughes, such a tragedy..
Shocking news, as much as we relish the Ashes battles, as much as we hope for resounding home soil success, these guys are only human. We expect them to recover, to come back, after all they are our sporting heroes... of course, they are super at what they do and they are human, perhaps superhuman is an apt description at times which is what makes this event so tragic.
Such a tragedy.. |

yeah john
it's a real sad time for all cricket lovers phil was much loved around australia by the public and his team mates and family it was such a freak accident one i've never witnessed in my time following cricket.mitchell johnson spent all last summer trying to knock over englands players with pace and bounce and if that was taken away from bowlers it would be so heavily in the batsmens favour let's hope we never see another thing like happened to phil he will be missed and his funeral is tomorrow i'm sure it will be a sad day but one neccesary for people to grieve and move on r.i.p. phillip hughes. |

What happened to Phil Hughes was such a tragedy. I saw an article somewhere and it said there were only a few examples of what happened to Hughes happening in the whole of recorded medical history. I played a bit of cricket as kid and always found the ball a bit scary - it hurts a lot when it hits you, believe me! But I never thought something like that could happen! Maybe now we know it can happen, there should be a height limit on bouncers? But anyway, it's absolutely shocking. RIP Phil Hughes.
